Once again, the Trump Administration has chosen to defend federal gun control instead of the Constitution. In its latest filing, the administration urged the Supreme Court to reject review of a case raising a serious and valid Second Amendment challenge to the NFA’s short-barreled rifle provisions—laws with no historical justification and no place in a free society.
The administration’s position on the Second Amendment is now unmistakably clear: federal gun control is good and constitutional, but state gun control is bad and unconstitutional—unless, of course, it mirrors the federal controls they favor.
Earlier this year, President Trump directed the Attorney General to “protect the Second Amendment rights of all Americans.” Filing briefs that defend the government’s power to tax, register, and criminalize the mere possession of constitutionally protected arms does the exact opposite.
If the administration is serious about keeping its promises, it must stop fighting against the People’s rights and abandon its defense of these immoral and unlawful restrictions.
Does the FPC support federal government background checks, before a gun can be purchased?
Does the FPC support banning a convicted felons from having guns?
All felons?
Or certain felons but not all?
I’ve said this before. The “gun community” supports machine gun bans. They don’t support the widespread ownership of legal machine guns.
No support for “switch” ownership.

“That’s just a waste of ammunition.”
For those that have not researched it. Most gun ranges limit fast shooting. They have a speed limit on just how fast you can pull the trigger.
Why?
Because of insurance. Having a machine gun capable gun range costs more to insure.
You can do what you want on private land. Or get one of those shipping containers that’s been covered into a gun range. And park it next to your house.

Maybe the reason why AR-15 sales are down is new gun owners are learning that most gun ranges, don’t accommodate the 223/556 cartridge.
Especially gun ranges built back in the 1970s and 1980s.

I’m part of the gun community and I support machine guns for all. Switches, trigger packs, open bolt, you name it, you should be able to buy it same as any other gun. AR-15 sales are down because the market’s saturated and there is less danger of the administration in charge banning them. It’s the Trump Slump Part II.

The Second Amendment Foundation posted on x a statement clarifying what they believe the ruling means.
‘Our reading of the ruling and accompanying order is that the injunction applies to post offices nationally for all individuals who are members of SAF and/or FPC,’ the post said. ‘However, it is best to consult with a lawyer in your area to confirm the scope of the injunction covers the post office you frequent.’
Bearing Arms queried the United States Postal Service on their stance on the order and how they were going to proceed. USPS Senior Public Relations Representative Felicia Lott responded to Bearing Arms’ request for comment.
‘The Postal Service is aware of the recent decision by the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas regarding the ban on firearms possession on postal property, which enjoins enforcement of the ban at certain Post Offices, and the surrounding Post Office property, with respect to certain postal customers,’ Lott wrote. ‘The Postal Service is currently analyzing the court’s decision and taking necessary steps to implement the injunction.’
