Part of the problem facing [New Jersey] Democrats is that many of the regulations they and their voters most want to implement, like assault weapons bans and concealed carry restrictions, are ones that have already been implemented and subsequently struck down in court. Several other legislative Democrats who spoke with POLITICO indicated interest in pursuing new gun laws but uncertainty about what the courts would allow.
“What the Legislature can do given this ruling [striking down the “assault weapons” ban and magazine capacity limits], that’s unclear — and needs to be worked through,” said Democratic state Sen. Andrew Zwicker. “When you have a federal ruling, you have to look at what’s in the state purview.”
And anything Democrats pass to change the new legal status quo is likely going to draw lawsuits from the same coalition of gun rights groups that have successfully stymied prior gun control efforts, potentially sending them back to square one.

Dems don’t get much push back on their illogical policies because they control 90% of the news media as well as most cultural institutions. Why wasn’t it a major story that Trump wasn’t a Russian asset? We’re just going to drop that story after three years of it being the number one story every day and move on like it didn’t happen? Then BLM-George Floyd Summer of Fire and Love? Then Covid? Grooming children? Then open borders and a senile president? Then assassinations and assassination attempts (all celebrated by Dems)? The FBI telling Big Tech to censor speech? The CIA hiding major news from the president? And people will still listen to the news and vote Democrat after that? This country is lost. It’s really sad.

This is assuming “their voters” includes ALL voters. The way democrats gather voters is via ‘mob rule’ techniques exploiting ’emotions’ rather than facts.
Without that usage to gather voters, there would be very few democrats elected to office if they had to rely on facts instead of emotion. For example, democrats in reference to illegal aliens pluck heart strings with their ‘immigrants are our neighbors and are peaceful never committing any crimes’ while Republicans present fact that ‘illegal aliens entered the country illegally and illegal aliens are murdering and raping American citizens.’

The democrats anti-gun ‘gun control’ was never about ‘public safety’ like they claim. Its among their biggest lies ever sold to the American public. Not only is it a lie but its being proven to be a lie outside the United States as well in countries that have strict ‘gun control’ and bans and in the United States. And people are starting to wake up to the fact that it is a lie.
If we look back at crime in the United States for the last 100 years, not even one single instance in any area of the United States can be found where democrats anti-gun ‘gun control’ had any effect on crime. That’s because of the very simple concept of ‘criminals do not obey the law’ thus these anti-gun ‘gun control’ only affected law-abiding people who were not committing the crimes. This seems to be a very difficult concept for anti-gun to understand, for example, a violent criminal is given probation or a light sentence or simply not prosecuted in a blue jurisdiction and he goes on to kill multiple people with a gun and the very first thought of a democrat is more ‘gun control’ and ‘ban guns’.

“On Monday, I wrote about a shooting Sunday morning at a pizza place in Tucson. Nine people were shot, though none were killed, thankfully. Unsurprisingly, the mayor jumped immediately to call for gun control to be passed in the pro-gun state. It’s pretty typical of urban mayors, unfortunately, but they typically get away with it.
The area where this happened, though, has a history of problems, and the owner of the pizza place is less than thrilled with the mayor’s remarks.
Empire Pizza is speaking out less than three days after a shooting left nine people injured outside its downtown location, calling on local politicians to shift their focus from gun control to public safety.
In an Instagram post shared Monday night, the restaurant said it was ‘disheartened to see the focus of this tragedy shift to gun control,’ claiming that approach has ‘zero applicability’ to what has been happening downtown. The business said two victims were sitting on its patio at the time of the shooting.
21-year-old David French has been arrested and is accused of shooting the nine people early Sunday morning South 6th Avenue and Congress Street.
Empire Pizza cites crime, drug use downtown
In its post, Empire Pizza said safety downtown has decreased over the years and that thefts and drug use have increased. The business said the real issues are crimes not being prosecuted, open drug use in public restrooms, and a lack of maintenance on downtown Tucson’s streets. The restaurant, which has operated in Tucson for more than 16 years, said it broke their hearts to see what downtown has become.
Mayor Regina Romero doubled down on her belief that the problem is because of supposedly easy access to guns.
Except that’s not exactly it. The suspect in question is a convicted felon, so he couldn’t lawfully own a firearm. Yet his conviction was recent, and rather than getting the prison sentence that aggravated assault with a deadly weapon should have garnered him, he got probation.
Couple that with the reported history of criminality in that part of the city, and what you’ve got is a massive problem that has nothing at all to do with the gun laws. You have violent felons getting probation rather than prison. You’ve got open drug use and theft in the neighborhood. You’ve got crimes that are simply not prosecuted at all, and Romero thinks the problem really is that there aren’t enough gun laws in her state.

Sometimes I get asked why I do not post links to news coverage or police reporting of the DGU’s I’ve had. The reason is simple, because posting that information could give leads to who I am thus my wife and I would possibly be endangered by any number of loons on the internet. I do not post any information on the internet that could be linked to who I am or who my wife is, its a safety thing.
Yeah its a real thing… years ago in a general discussion on an internet forum about fishing boats I showed some pictures of a boat I had at the time, in one of the pictures the license plate on the truck was visible. Someone saw those pictures and asked a police officer friend to look up the plate number and from that he got the address. This loon shows up, at around 9:30 PM about a week later wandering around our back yard. The dogs are out back at the time in the fenced in area and going wild. So in response to their barking I turned on the area flood lights and there is this guy standing there in the back yard. It got ugly, he started ranting about wanting to see the boat to decide if he wanted to buy it or not – it wasn’t for sale, never said it was. Then he decides that he has been lied to about the boat being for sale and wants to ‘kick my a$$’ for lying to him and starts moving towards the house. While my wife called the police I walked into the fenced in area where the dogs were telling him “Hold on there. I’m going to come to you.” – I was armed, but I told the dogs to sit and be quiet as he approached the gate and opened it then stepped inside. Of course he came on through the gate angry and ready to ‘kick my A$$’ – I gave the dogs the command to attack and they did. When the first blood was seen I called them off, and told him the police were on the way to stay right where he was on the ground or I would put the dogs back on him. He stayed, police came to get him. Like I said, loons on the internet. It wasn’t a DGU – it was a DDU (Defensive Dog Use – 😁).
But anyway, it happens for all sorts of reasons and it happened to this couple….
