In a stunning betrayal of gun owners, Attorney General Pam Bondi recently ordered the Department of Justice to continue defending Joe Biden’s “Engaged in the Business” rule — a backdoor gun registration scheme.
And now there’s a new twist: a federal judge in the Northern District of Alabama just ruled that the ATF overstepped its authority with major parts of this rule, and issued a permanent injunction protecting the named plaintiffs and their members from enforcement.
Despite this rebuke, though, Bondi’s DOJ is pressing forward with defending the rule — even after President Trump ordered a full review of Biden’s gun control agenda earlier this year. This is nothing less than a deliberate attempt to kneecap Trump’s pro-gun agenda.
What the Court Did
The court declared multiple provisions of the ATF’s rule unlawful, including:
- The claim that there’s no minimum number of guns or sales required to be “in the business.”
- The presumption of “profit intent” even when no profit is shown.
- The attack on the “personal collection” safe harbor, excluding firearms kept for self-defense.
- Presumptions that reselling or advertising firearms automatically makes someone a dealer.
These provisions have now been permanently blocked against enforcement for the named plaintiffs. But here’s the catch: the rest of the country is still exposed. Unless the rule is struck down entirely, millions of gun owners remain at risk of being treated like criminals for private sales.
Cornyn’s BSCA Opened the Door for This
Make no mistake: this entire scheme is the spawn of John Cornyn’s Bipartisan Safer Communities Act, drafted with anti-gun Democrat Chris Murphy. Cornyn handed Biden the legislative keys to create a backdoor registry — and Bondi is keeping it alive.
Pam Bondi has a long history of selling out gun owners. She supported red flag laws in Florida, refused to stop anti-gun ordinances, and repeatedly sided with the political elite over grassroots conservatives. Now, as Attorney General, she’s siding with Biden over Trump, fighting in court to preserve Biden’s gun control legacy.
President Trump must get control of his own AG and force her to follow his pro-gun agenda.
The Fight in the Courts
There is hope, however. In the Fifth Circuit, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and Gun Owners of America are suing to stop this same rule. Texas Gun Rights and the National Association for Gun Rights filed a hard-hitting amicus brief in support.
A preliminary injunction is currently protecting gun owners in Texas and several other states. But if Bondi’s DOJ succeeds in salvaging the Biden-Cornyn rule, that protection could vanish, putting every gun owner back in the crosshairs.
As every gun owner knows: registration is the first step to confiscation.

Should we really be surprised by this? After all, Trumps has a history of selling out gun owners. Everything ANY politician, including Trump, should be taken with a grain of salt.
Did you happen to notice the DOJ slow-walking Comey’s indictment despite Trump’s extreme priority to hold him accountable? They barely got the indictment through before the statute of limitations ran out. They had to move personnel around at the last second. Have you noticed that nearly a year after the new administration began, they’re still firing Democrat activists left and right? The DOJ was and is a complete mess.
This defense directly contradicts Trump’s executive order. What are you doing to bring attention to that? Have you noticed how busy Trump and Bondi have been? I doubt they’ll see you complaining on SNW.
It should be clear per history and present day actions that Bondi is not a full supporter of the 2nd Amendment. Simply, the obvious should be obvious.

Israeli naval forces intercepted 39 vessels from a Gaza-bound aid flotilla on Thursday, detaining dozens of activists — including international climate activist Greta Thunberg and several European lawmakers, The Associated Press reported.
The Global Sumud Flotilla, which set out across the Mediterranean with more than 40 boats carrying about 500 activists, was the largest yet to attempt to break Israel’s blockade of the enclave, according to the AP.

The flotilla has since been reduced to a single vessel still headed toward Gaza. Organizers with the Global Sumud Flotilla said on X that the boat was last tracked only a few miles off Gaza’s coast before contact was lost. Activists told the AP that they believed the flotilla’s size would make it harder for Israeli forces to intercept every vessel.
Photos and surveillance footage captured the moment Israeli soldiers in helmets and night vision goggles boarded the flotilla. A photo from Israel’s foreign ministry showed Thunberg, the most prominent of the flotilla’s passengers, accompanied by soldiers following the interception. Israeli officials said those detained included Thunberg, former Barcelona Mayor Ada Colau and European Parliament member Rima Hassan, according to the AP.

It’s belaboring the obvious to note that, while these useful idiots are intoning piously about ‘international law,’ they are in fact intruding on a war zone, and an argument could be made that they are delivering logistical support to Israel’s enemy, Hamas. Government or private, throughout most of human history, that would have justified Israel putting them at the bottom of the ocean. After all, a torpedo means never having to say you’re sorry. Israel, to their credit, is taking a softer tone; the aid, we noted from the video above, will be distributed by Israel to the proper people, and the ‘activists’ will be deported.
I won’t pretend to know the motivations of the people on this flotilla, other than the one thing they all have in common: Antipathy towards Israel. That’s enough in itself to hold them in pretty low esteem, not to mention their attempts to supply Israel’s enemy, whether that be by intent or ignorance; the latter seems more likely. But Greta?
