The Time is Now: This May Be Our Last Chance to Finally Dismantle ATF

For decades, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has stood as one of the most tyrannical agencies in Washington, with a long history of abusing its power against the American people. From Waco to the murder of Bryan Malinowski in Arkansas last year, the ATF’s record is littered with tragedy, government overreach, and open hostility toward law-abiding gun owners.

Yet despite all this, weak-kneed Republicans in Congress have dragged their feet, allowing this rogue agency to continue trampling on the Second Amendment. But the fight is far from over.

The Tyrannical History of the ATF

Time and again, the ATF has proven itself to be beyond reform:

In 1993, the botched raid at Waco left dozens of innocent men, women, and children dead.

In the Fast and Furious scandal, the ATF armed Mexican cartels, leading to the deaths of U.S. citizens and Border Patrol Agent Brian Terry.

Just last year, ATF agents killed Bryan Malinowski, an unarmed airport director in Arkansas, during a botched raid on his home.

The ATF has harassed pastors, small gun shop owners, and even lawful collectors — using intimidation, raids, and paperwork traps to destroy lives.

This isn’t an agency that’s serving the American people. It’s a political weapon used to enforce unconstitutional gun control schemes.

Now is the Time

Republicans hold a narrow majority in the House today, but that majority is at risk in the coming midterm elections. If the House flips, any chance at abolishing the ATF will vanish for years — maybe decades. That’s why the time to act is now.

By moving to abolish the ATF before the midterms, pro-gun lawmakers can put every member of Congress on record. If Republicans not only keep control, but expand their pro-gun majorities, the groundwork will already be laid, making passage of full repeal legislation even more attainable.

This isn’t just about playing defense. It’s about restoring liberty and dismantling an agency that has spent half a century working against it. That’s why Texas Gun Rights is going all out to push H.R. 221 — legislation that would abolish the ATF once and for all.

“This is the most important opportunity we’ve had in decades to take down the ATF,” said Chris McNutt, President of Texas Gun Rights. “If Republicans fail to act now, they may lose their chance forever.”

  1. Do it! Put the word out. I don’t think this is even on the radar of most Republicans, and of course, Democrats never want to limit government in any way since their goal is always to have as much control as possible over citizens. They thrive on raids and terrorizing politically opposed citizens, as proven during the last administration. Why would we let them keep that constantly abused power?

    1. Yes, awaiting moderation…but hey, look on the bright side – you can buy a ‘shovelhead motor’ or ‘custom lowrider bicycle’ from the spammer scammer links in the other comments that were not moderated.

      😂

  2. Unfortunately it seems the administration has other priorities rather than addressing your complaints about the ATF.

Really, they have much more important matters to consider, like prosecuting a man for throwing a ham sandwich at a federal agent… They tried for a felony, ‘assault with a deli weapon’, it seems the grand jury kicked their ass to the curb.

“Federal prosecutors on Tuesday were unable to persuade a grand jury to approve a felony indictment against a man who threw a sandwich at a federal agent on the streets of Washington this month, according to two people familiar with the matter.

The grand jury’s rejection of the felony charge was a remarkable failure by the U.S. attorney’s office in Washington and the second time in recent days that a majority of grand jurors refused to vote to indict a person accused of felony assault on a federal agent. It also amounted to a sharp rebuke by a panel of ordinary citizens against the prosecutors assigned to bring charges against people arrested after President Trump’s deployment of National Guard troops and federal agents to fight crime and patrol the city’s streets.“

    1. pssst, miner. You’re just reconfirming that the fascist left condones violence and lawlessness.

Thank you for all the help you provided to make Trump president again.

You truly are living proof that our education system is broken beyond repair.

      1. “the fascist left condones violence and lawlessness“

You call it violence when somebody throws a ham sandwich at a body armored police officer.

But MAGA cheers when hundreds of violent felons who physically assaulted and injured on duty police officers are pardoned by another convicted felon.

        Weird.

And the conservatives complicity in the Epstein cover-up continues, why hasn’t Donald Trump’s DOJ conducted any investigations regarding the hundreds of members of Epstein’s staff, including pilots, drivers, cooks, gardeners, maintenance, janitors, and the housekeeping staff that changed the sheets where the crimes were committed?

No, your president has other priorities, like transferring the world‘s greatest living child trafficker and abuser to a Club Fed facility where she can be more comfortable.

        1. So it’s ok, under your description, to throw a sandwich at newsom or pelosi? And it’s amazing to me that Trump was convicted of more than 30 felonies and not sentenced. It’s almost as if the fascist left realized what a can of worms they opened and then chickened out.

And, again, miner, you are just too stupid to see what help you’ve been to the gop and maga. It is amazing that you can breath without supervision.

Hey minor if all the Estine info is so damning for President Trump why didn’t the Slow Joe administration release it?
          Well…..
          Answer the fucking question……
          Or deflect as usual

    1. Annunciation Catholic School serves students in preschool through 8th grade.
      Mentally ill shooter is dead.
A federal source on the ground in Minneapolis confirmed to Fox News that an estimated 15 to 20 people were injured in a shooting at the Annunciation Catholic School.
Children’s Minnesota Hospital said six children are being treated after the shooting at a Minnesota Catholic school.
News conference at 12 p.m. ET.

        1. [UPDATE 12:06 p.m.] During a press conference, Minneapolis Police Chief Brian O’Hara said that the children at the school were in Mass, marking the first week of school. The shooter — who had a rifle, shotgun, and pistol — began firing through the church windows from outside. Two children, ages eight and 10 years old, are dead. Seventeen others are injured, including 14 children. Two of the children are in critical condition. Police found other terrified children hiding throughout the building.

O’Hara said the shooter looks to be in his early twenties and most likely died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

        2. “Another targeted attack on christian children“

Wow, how unfortunate that two children were killed.

Meanwhile, thousands of Muslim children have been killed in targeted attacks in Gaza, by troops using ordinance made in America.

          1. Dude. Exactly. This is why we need to burn the current ‘education’ system to the ground and start over.

          2. “Children under 15 years old made up almost a third of outpatients treated for wounds in field hospitals run by Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in Gaza last year, statistics published in The Lancet reveal.
The figures were released by MSF in correspondence with the respected medical journal and come from six health facilities in Gaza supported by the international medical NGO. The facilities are predominantly in the south and centre of the devastated territory.
More than 90,000 outpatient consultations involving wounds were carried out at the facilities in 2024. Bombs, shelling or shooting was involved in just under half of these, MSF said.“

  3. Boom: Winsome Sears Surges in New Polling Following Dems’ Disastrous ‘Racist Granny’ Moment.

“It’s not often enough that you get to witness the Democrat Party facing the consequences of their own actions, but a great reckoning may, in fact, be on its way for Virginia Democrats and their gubernatorial candidate, Abigail Spanberger. A new poll from the firm co/efficient shows Republican Winsome Earle-Sears is surging and has substantially cut the lead previously enjoyed by Spanberger.

To recap, a poll from back in May showed Spanberger with a whopping 17-point lead; by last week, that lead had shrunk to 7 points. The new poll from co/efficient shows that Spanberger now only leads by 5 points, a fairly dramatic change over so short a period of time.

    1. “a fairly dramatic change over so short a period of time.
      …”

I would say flipping a state Senate seat with an 11% majority in an actual election would be a rather dramatic change over a short period of time.

“Democrat Catelin Drey has pulled off a victory in a special election for the Iowa Senate, flipping a Republican-held seat and breaking the GOP’s supermajority in the chamber for the first time in three years.

Drey won with 55% of the vote to Republican Christopher Prosch’s 44%, according to unofficial results from the Woodbury County Auditor’s Office.“

The people of Iowa have spoken and rejected the corruption and division of the Republican Party.

  4. I see that Miner popped his head out again. Don’t forget what ChatGPT says about him.

    | Behavior | Description |
    | —————————————–| ——————————————————————– |
    | Argumentative & straw-man tactics | Misrepresents others’ stances to make them easier to attack |
    | Ad-hominem attacks | Uses insults and personal attacks rather than rebuttals |
    | Confirmation bias & cherry‑picking | Selectively uses data or sources supporting his views |
    | Polarizing political framing | Portrays discussions as ideological battles rather than debates |

    Why His Reputation Suffered

When commentators consistently deploy straw‑man tactics, insults, and sweeping generalizations, they erode the foundation of trust and rational discourse. It appears Miner49er’s approach to debate—with a heavy reliance on emotional reaction, ideological labeling, and selective reasoning—has led peers to view his contributions as more disruptive than insightful.
