“It is coming up on a year since the murder of TPUSA founder and CEO Charlie Kirk, and the rallying cry to ‘Be Like Charlie’ continues to resonate in the generations who he so greatly inspired. Two days after his murder in September of 2025, a Charlotte-Mecklenburg student named Gabby Stout painted a patriotic message on the school’s spirit rock to honor Charlie. Despite receiving permission from the school to do this, school officials painted over the rock, claiming it had been vandalized and making an entire show of it.
The school administrators broadcast a message about the purported vandalism to the entire school, stating that whoever did this was in violation of the school honor code, and that law enforcement would mount an investigation. When Stout acknowledged she was the one who painted the rock, the administrators attempted to punish her for her speech. In an interview in 2025, Stout said she was pulled from class, questioned by administrators, ordered to provide a written statement of apology, and to surrender her phone for inspection.
The Stout family pushed back, filing a federal lawsuit in December against the Charlotte-Mecklenburg school district for sweeping violations of Stout’s First Amendment rights.

Contrary to the anti-gun claim that there is a ‘epidemic of gun violence’ (and to point out the obvious that guns do not commit violence, rather its people and left wingers and democrat politicians who commit violence), there is no ‘gun violence’ epidemic. But anyway, criminal stabbing and slashing of victims (including close proximity physical threats to do it if the victim does not comply) take place around the country in the thousands daily, criminal attacks upon victims by using hand/feet/blunt-object runs a very close second. From these two types of attacks alone, there are almost 2 million victims annually and since 2020 around 90% of the country stabby/slashy types has been happening in blue jurisdictions. Other-than-firearms-weapons used in criminal attacks and crime are many and are used more than firearms at a rate of 1,000:1 (non-firearm:firearm). The ‘non-firearm-weapon’ crime events are so common that the news media doesn’t even bother to cover them because they are basically, to them, routine and boring everyday life stuff but sometimes they do get reported if there is some sort of ‘interest’ by the right people or some sort of angle to play up.
