Because the holiday weekend and the unofficial start of summer can get hectic, here’s a helpful checklist of things to do today . . .

  • Fly the flag (even this one if you want).
  • Attend a Memorial Day parade.
  • Barbecue something that once had a face.
  • Drink a cool adult beverage or two.
  • Throw a ball around with the kids.
  • Take a dip in a pool, lake, or ocean.
  • Remember those who have given their lives to make all of the above possible.

  1. More importantly…Do ‘We the People’ truly understand the sacrifices made by our forefathers so that we can take advantage of the Freedoms/Liberties they fought and died to protect and preserve. Sadly in so many cases across our nation the answer to that question is NO. Which is why those Freedoms are in the greatest danger of disappearing since the Revolutionary War was fought to attain them. Not because an enemy has defeated Freedom, but because the people have chosen to allow it to die. Comfortable Subjugation over Dangerous Freedom.
