When I used to manage an outdoor range we experimented proving/disproving a lot of Hollywood BS, after hours of course. And as an RSO I made sure whatever we did would pass muster as far as safety was concerned. That said, we tried a bunch of pillow shot variations.none lowered DBs more than 1 or 2 DBs. FWIW, tried the 2L soda bottle trick also. various amounts of fluid in it. Worthless AND makes a big mess. And filling the bottle with pillow fiber fill is also worthless. Science ! I love it. Mythbusters rules!!

  2. The Left’s Gun Rights Hypocrisy Just Hit a New Low.

    1. 1. If you show up at a protest armed, well, its a constitutional right. And indeed, for example, in 2020 there was a mass ‘protest’ gathering of pro-2A people, conservatives, about 20,000 people, that showed up armed – there was not one attending person that was disrespectful to the left wing anti-gun (and other causes) counter protestors, there were no confrontations by the attendees with police to interfere with them. But, there were plenty of the left wing counter protestors that were extremely disrespectful and tried to provoke confrontations and even threatened to shoot attendees.

      2. If you show up at a protest armed, well, its a constitutional right. But if while armed you intentionally provoke a harmful or potentially harmful confrontation because you do not agree with another, that’s not protected 2A activity nor is it 1st A protected protest so do not claim your 2A or 1st A rights were violated in that case if you are arrested or interviewed by the media – you obviously do not understand the 1st and 2nd amendments, no where in either of those or in any SCOTUS decision is inflicting intentional harm over words or disagreement with another protected under either of those. Also, if while armed at the protest, even if you do not show or draw the weapon, but decide to interfere with law enforcement in the performance of their duty in executing enforcement of a valid and legal and constitutional law passed by congress then you are armed in the commission of a crime and that is not protected 2A activity nor is it 1st A protected protest so do not claim your 2A or 1st A rights were violated in that case and you are not a ‘hero’ but rather a common criminal.

      3. The presence of an armed person at a protest does not mean something bad will happen. The gun doesn’t do anything – its the person with the gun that decides what to do with the gun, not the gun making the person do something like the anti-gun like to falsely posit. Since 2020, 98% of shootings or attempted shootings at protests or mass-gatherings were perpetrated by those with left wing political orientation or left wing ideology – 1% were by conservatives being forced to act in valid self defense against protestors with left wing political orientation or ideology (for example, Kenosha), and 1% are unknown for reasons or political orientation or ideology or legality.

      4. Since November 2024 there have been (according to left wing media coverage of protests, and research) ~ 147,000 incidents of illegal left wing violence under the guise of or reasons of ‘protest’ or ‘resistance’ or ‘disagreement with words’ and 37% of them involved firearms (most did not fire and only threatened, a few victims were inured and a few killed, includes the murder of Charlie Kirk by left winger Tyler Robinson), and more than 42,000 out right assaults (in non-protest settings, upon individuals by left wing perpetrators using firearms (most resulted in no injury, victims only being fired at or threatened – some were killed) (includes the trans killer school-shooter in Minneapolis, and includes mass-shooting attacks upon law enforcement and ICE facilities).
