  1. A few years ago here someone built a huge snowman in front of a school during school Christmas break (no one at the school for several days), in a period of time when temps were hitting barley above zero to below zero. To this day we still do not know who did it but there was a lot of time spent doing it at some point during the night and it was probably a multi-person project too. It was a little over 6 feet tall, a best classic snowman ever with perfect symmetry and proportion, a classic perfect ‘Frosty the Snowman’ shape except for a twist. Evidently they had done some shopping for toys and put a cheap air-soft AR and helmet on it and put a plate carrier on it and had some magazines – and built the snowman with clearly defined arms holding the AR at ‘port arms’ with his hands. They even added color to the snow to add definition in areas to make them look like body parts, and so it appeared from the short distance from the road if you drove by the school to be ‘someone’ who was all white ‘dressed’ in some sort of ‘tactical’ clothing. They put up a sign beside it that read ‘WARNING! Armed Frosty On Patrol.’.

It took some time to build this, had they stayed around that long building it in the dead of night it would have probably been noticed by passerby’s or even police patrols. So there was a theory they probably built the main parts elsewhere then just put them together at the school real quick. As cold as it had been, it would have been a few days at lest before it showed significant melting degradation.

It was a work of art, but its still difficult for a snowman to not look like a snowman when it has a carrot nose and round snowman head and distinct round shape of three main body parts head-middle-bottom and white surfaces. Anyway, the next morning when the sun comes up, about mid morning, the police get a call from a guy across the street from the school about a ‘school-shooting in progress’ and how sacred he was. This prompted the police to go out and knock it down.
