Several companies offer a way to mount one. I don’t think you’d have backup irons though.

Was there an issue with the .40 S&W SRs? I don’t recall hearing about it.

If anyone is looking to get one of these, only go for the last 4-5 years of production. As mentioned, there were issues with the early ones. You can check the manufacture date by entering the serial number on Ruger’s website.

I still have my SR9c. It was a great gun. The manual safety is perfect for carry. Most manual safeties on striker-fired guns are awful (looking at you M&P).

Yes it is!!!
And I’ve noticed that the gun companies are starting to make all metal guns again. With DA/SA triggers.

And I like a de-cocker.

If I wanna carry a full size gun. I carry my ruger P89, which went out of production in 2009. It has a capacity of 17+1. And some enterprising aftermarket company folks, have produced a modification that allows me to mount a red dot to it. And a laser grip accessory is also available, which I have.

So I’m very happy with “this old gun”.
