“Local news said a Massachusetts state trooper stopped the Boston shooter on Memorial Drive.

But they left out the armed citizen standing next to him.

According to reports, Tyler Brown allegedly fired dozens of rounds at cars and buildings, hitting two people before a trooper and a licensed armed civilian engaged him and helped stop the threat.

That detail matters.

Because in one of the most anti-gun states in the country, a law-abiding citizen with a carry permit did exactly what gun control supporters keep pretending civilians can’t do.

He showed up.
He returned fire.
He helped stop the threat.

The laws didn’t stop the shooter.

A trooper and an armed citizen did.

Everytime we post a video about some lawsuit that DOJ is dropping on some local jurisdiction, we are met with dozens and dozens of comments where viewers complain that their state is not getting the same attention. Washington Gun Law President, William Kirk, attempts to explain why the DOJ is picking the fights that it has picked so that you can understand the unique nature and timeline of this litigation. It’s not that DOJ does not care about your state, or does not want to help citizens of that state, but rather where can they make the biggest impact immediately to try to force some of these issues to the higher courts. So calm down, there may still be a lawsuit coming to your state soon, but let’s look at the strategy being employed here so that we can arm ourselves with education.
