d.mail is straight klikbait.
once a projectile has fragmented or mushroomed it gets pretty tricky to match rifling to witness marks.
it can be done but it is the exception.

Left out of the sensational statement is that the bullet can’t be matched to any gun. If this is allowed to let the shooter walk, then no one can be found guilty. That is not, nor it should be, the threshold for guilt or innocence of any shooter in any crime.

Bullet matching is not an exact science thing. Real life is not like the crime show series on TV and the Hollywood movies. Bullet matching is unreliable, and largely subjective relying mostly on the examiners opinion – it also lacks rigorous scientific validation. There have been a few studies that validated the techniques used in bullet matching in controlled conditions, but when tested in the field independently the results of the studies could not be confirmed reliably and there was an associated high error rate.

Personally, I’m waiting for somebody to explain in court. How somebody can walk around with a rifle shoved down their pants. And it’s not a takedown rifle.

And why didn’t they have an ambulance and medical crew on standby??? Since Charlie Kirk was transported to the hospital in a private car. Not an ambulance. And how many hospitals were passed by? Before he got to the hospital he was eventually taken to.

Where is all the various behind the tent videos??? That TPUSA normally records at all of their events.
