In reply to Chris T in KY. It's a way to get an extra 200fps out of a .224 cal, but I just went down a bit and got a .204 Ruger. Depending on bullet weight some approach 4000fps, clearly outclassing the Rem .223 in speed. Terminal performance is devastating.

In reply to Pablo. A bullet .224mm in diameter would be 0.0088 inches. That's 88/10000ths of an inch. A human hair averages .17 to .18mm, so .224mm is about 1 1/2 hair widths. Consider this one taken.

In reply to Dad. Bro, .224 is the caliber size for projectiles for the 5.56mm / .223 Remington and the .22 Nosler.
